Process faster, respond more accurately
Develop the sensory processing behind faster, more accurate movement corrections across hockey skills.
BEQ shows hockey players what limits their movement and what to train next. During the assessment, we capture the evidence that is evaluated by BEQ's expert team and turned into an individual training plan in the BEQ Player Portal.
Evidence over instinct
Most players know how hard they train. Fewer know whether the work is changing the qualities that currently limit them.
BEQ establishes where the player is now, identifies what deserves attention and creates a clear point of comparison for what comes next.

What is the BEQ System?
At hockey speed, every skill depends on sensing position, processing information and correcting movement without delay. Better movement control helps players learn faster, stay balanced and focus on the game instead of the movement itself.
BEQ creates an objective baseline for hockey movement control. It measures how a player solves demands such as balance, edge control, direction changes and recovery, not simply whether the task was completed.
Develop the sensory processing behind faster, more accurate movement corrections across hockey skills.
Objective feedback identifies what to correct, helping better movement become repeatable sooner.
Build the movement control behind balance, quick transitions and edges that hold at game pace.
Identify unstable or inefficient movement patterns and train toward safer, more controlled execution.
Set a baseline · Train the priorities · Measure again
The value is not one number. It is the change between one assessment and the next, measured under the same protocols.
Your first assessment establishes where you are today.
Your individual training plan targets the priorities revealed by the assessment.
Your next assessment shows which measured qualities changed.
BEQ is a hockey performance assessment, not a medical diagnosis. It does not guarantee injury prevention or directly measure on-ice skating speed. It evaluates the movement-control qualities that support hockey performance, effective learning and safer training.
From measurement to momentum
Start with a 60-minute BEQ Assessment to establish your profile and baseline, followed by an expert-reviewed plan within two business days. Return for a focused 30-minute Baseline Check whenever you are ready to measure what changed.
Full evaluation · 60 min · expert-reviewed plan
Every BEQ Assessment follows the same evaluation framework. Your first establishes your player profile and baseline. Each return is performed at a difficulty matched to your progress, shows what changed and updates what to train next.
Progress check · 30 min Prior BEQ Assessment required
The BEQ Baseline Check is a focused 30-minute progress check for players with an existing BEQ profile. It repeats the measurement protocols to show how your numbers are changing between full assessments. It does not include expert evaluation or a new training plan.
Measure where you are. See what matters next. Train with direction.
After the assessment
The 60-minute session records the player profile, movement evaluation, measurements and video.
BEQ's AI model helps detect movement patterns. Expert evaluators review the full evidence and determine the priorities.
The human-reviewed report and individual training plan are published within two business days.
Review your BEQ measurements, visual reports and downloadable PDFs.
Follow exercises selected for your current priorities.
Use board-based exercises connected to the priorities in your measured profile.
Return when the work has created something new to measure.
After the session, BEQ's AI model helps detect and analyze the player's movement across the recorded material. BEQ's expert team reviews those findings alongside the measurements, video and session observations, then publishes a human-reviewed report and individual training plan within two business days.
BEQ Performance Intelligence
Each BEQ test adds evidence to a detailed performance profile built from movement indicators, protocol-specific results and visual diagnostics.
The system establishes the objective baseline. BEQ's AI-supported analysis and proprietary evaluation organize the evidence for expert review, where the team determines the player's next training direction.

One assessment.
Dozens of performance signals.
One clear direction.
Local AI analyzes movement video, creates movement snapshots and identifies key points for review. Proprietary BEQ evaluation turns the measured data into the metrics and BEQ Index behind the player's baseline. BEQ's expert team uses that evidence to complete the evaluation and prescribe the individual training plan.
The BEQ Method
Performance is not divided into mind and body during the game. Training should not divide them either.
The BEQ Method is built on Dusan Benicky's Psycho-Physical Training methodology. It treats mindset, functional movement and proprioception, the body's sense of position and control under pressure, as parts of one performance system.
One play. One system.
A fast pass at speed is never just a puck-control task. Before the puck arrives, the player scans the ice for pressure, space and available options. Vision and hearing provide context. The brain uses that information to anticipate the puck's path and select a response. Balance and proprioception organize the body and hands, while tactile feedback through the stick and continuous motor adjustments help secure the puck and execute the next play.
What coaches call hockey intelligence is not separate from the body. It is the ability to perceive the game, choose an action and execute it under pressure.
Proprioception - the foundation
Proprioception is the body's internal sense of position, balance, pressure and timing. On the ice, it affects whether an edge holds, contact is absorbed and the hands stay free to make a play.
Most programs develop strength and conditioning. Fewer measure the proprioceptive control that turns that capacity into clean, repeatable execution. BEQ reads mindset, movement and proprioceptive performance together so the coach can identify the player's current priority and assign the right work.
The continuous loop
Every reassessment builds on the last. The profile evolves with the player; it never resets.

Common questions
A BEQ Assessment is a 60-minute session that captures the player profile and performance context, functional movement and proprioceptive evaluation, proprietary measurements and video. Preliminary BEQ numbers may be shown at the location, but they are not the completed evaluation. BEQ's expert team reviews the full evidence after the session and publishes the report and individual training plan in the Player Portal within two business days. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
The BEQ Assessment takes place indoors, not on the ice. No skates or hockey equipment are required. Bring comfortable athletic clothing suitable for a gym session and expect to sweat. A changing area is available on site.
BEQ is for players aged 10 and up: skaters and goalies, from developing and recreational players to prospects and professionals. Every full assessment follows the same evaluation framework, while its difficulty and the resulting plan are matched to the player's level and progress.
Within two business days, you receive a human-reviewed report, completed evaluation and individual training plan in the Player Portal. Relevant results and PDFs are available there as well. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays observed at the assessment location. Each assessment includes at least 12 months of Player Portal access to its report and individual plan.
The 60-minute BEQ Assessment includes a complete evaluation followed by expert review and an individual training plan. The 30-minute Baseline Check is a lower-cost, measurement-only progress check for players with an existing BEQ profile. It shows how the player's numbers are changing but does not include expert evaluation or a new training plan.
Every full BEQ Assessment is reviewed by BEQ's expert team, led by Dusan Benicky, who also participates as a reviewer. BEQ's AI model helps detect player movement in the recorded material, while professional evaluators review the AI-supported findings alongside the measurements, video and session observations. The final evaluation and training prescription come from the expert team.
No. The Player Profile & Mindset Review is a coach-led conversation, not a scored psychological or clinical assessment. The BEQ Index is a protocol-specific 0–100 technical execution score - not a medical score, population percentile or biological ranking. BEQ evaluates how proprioceptive control appears through hockey-specific movement and board-control tasks.
At least 72 hours before the session: full refund, or one free rescheduling. At least 24 but less than 72 hours: one free rescheduling, no refund. Less than 24 hours or a no-show is not eligible for a refund, credit or rescheduling, except for the sudden illness, injury or genuine emergency remedies in the Cancellation Policy or where mandatory law provides otherwise. Late arrival does not extend the session. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
Your next training direction starts with a BEQ Assessment.
